Yesterday evening, MEPs led by the Socialists & Democrats voted for an active role of the EU negotiating team in the United Nations Conference for Climate Change (COP21) which will be held in Paris in December. Ahead of this summit which will gather world leaders, MEPs push for legally binding and ambitious emission reduction targets, as well as solid financial instruments to achieve those goals.
