At a time when Africa is too often viewed through narrow and one-sided narratives, this initiative reflects a key political priority for the S&D Group: to advance a renewed, forward-looking partnership of equals between Europe and Africa based on equality, solidarity, social justice and shared progress.
Profound transformations are underway across Africa. A new generation is shaping the future of the continent. These actors, often unheard in traditional political arenas, are the true engines of change and we want to partner with them.
In cooperation with our progressive partners, S&D Africa Days 2026 will bring together African policymakers, civil society representatives, youth leaders, trade unionists, cultural actors, and members of the diaspora to engage in meaningful dialogue and exchange.
It will offer a unique opportunity to connect directly with Africa change-makers, to listen to them and co-create a shared progressive political agenda while fostering new alliances, networks and cooperation.
