In the ten years between tragedies of Lampedusa and Calabria, more than 26,000 people have lost their lives in the Mediterranean. We need a new pact that guarantees international protection for asylum seekers, favours the integration of refugees, and guarantees legal avenues for immigration, including education, employment and humanitarian visas.
