The Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats (S&D Group) are pleased to invite you to a public workshop on ‘Strengthening the EU’s Human Rights Toolbox: A more effective framework’ on Thursday, 13 October 2022, from 15.00 to 17.00 in the European Parliament premises in Brussels.

The workshop aims to provide members and stakeholders a platform for open dialogue and exchange for relaunching the discussion inside the European Parliament (EP) on the importance of strengthening the EU’s Human Rights Toolbox, as well as the EU policy coherence and effectiveness on human rights and the role of the EP on re-orientating and implementing the EU human right approach in the context of the EU external policies.
The workshop will be structured in two panels:
- The EU Human rights-based approach: Introduction into the updated toolbox - with the participation of several academics;
- The EU Human Rights policy: from advocacy to action - with the participation of several representatives of the human rights organisations;
At the end of the panels, the programme includes an exchange of views with Members of the EP.
A "coffee gourmand" will be held at the end of the event.
