S&D MEP published a manifesto in which they ask Brazilian people not to stay home on 28 October, but to go to the polls and vote against the ultra-conservative and authoritarian candidate Jair Bolsonaro. In the manifesto, S&Ds encourage Brazilian to mobilise for the rights and values enshrined in their Constitution, for their right to live in a pluralist, free, tolerant, and a fair society.

 

The manifesto is signed by the S&D president Udo Bullmann;  S&D vice-president Elena Valenciano;  the president of the delegation for the relations with Mercosur Francisco Assis; the S&D chair of Eurolat Assembly Ramón Jáuregui; the vice-president of the parliamentary Delegation for Relations with Brazil Carlos Zorrinho; and MEPs Nicola Danti and Roberto Gualtieri.
