2018 SOLIDAR Silver Rose Awards.
The Progressive Civil Society Award – Together for Social Justice – In the EU and Worldwide.

At the beginning of 2018, in a rapidly changing economical and (hopefully for the better) social environment, SOLIDAR with the support of the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament and the PES organises its 15th edition of the Silver Rose Awards. A unique evening that highlights achievements and promotes successful initiatives and actions of individuals or organisations who notably contributed to social justice regardless of the political environment.

From the vast number of nominations the Jury, composed of MEPs and representatives of major trade unions and civil society organisations, selected six awardees from several categories:

  • Together for Social Europe
  • Building Learning Societies
  • Organising International Solidarity
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Special Award by the Jury

This year the jury had to make some sensitive choices as each of the awardees is active in a highly discussed topic such as women’s rights, workers’ protection or the highly politicised topic, the protection of whistle-blowers.
Please register here for the 2018 SOLIDAR Silver Rose Awards taking place at 19:00 - 21:30 on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 at the members’ restaurant in the European Parliament, Brussels.

Note that the registration desk at the entrance of the European Parliament will open at 18:00.

Online registration for this event will close on 16th January 2018.

A confirmation of your registration will be sent to you a day after the online registration closes.

Take this opportunity and become our next Together Ambassador! Add your comments on the role of civil society here and you could get selected to join us in Brussels!
