Quote of the week by Gianni Pittella:

It is everyone's duty to be involved in the battle to save Europe. At stake today is the end of Europe as a project for future generations. Today, our main enemies come from within. Refugees are not terrorists. They are victims of terrorism. Let's fight against the liars! Populists are winning not because of their strengths, but because we didn't fight. They want to create a society without any sense of solidarity. A society where man is wolf to fellow man!

Last Week's Highlights

This week we have mobilised representatives of our entire progressive family to come together and call on heads of states and governments to stop building walls in our union. Gianni Pittella, our Group President, was joined by EP President Martin Schulz, PES President Sergei Stanishev, S&D Group Vice President Tanja Fajon and ETUC representative Veronica Nilsson. Once again, President Pittella pointed out that it is everyone's duty to be involved in the battle to save Europe.

You can check out a series of videos from the event here, here, here and here, and also an album of the No More Walls in Europe - #EUwakeUp! event is available here.
