Quote of the week S&D president Udo Bullmann on the reform of the Eurozone

The Eurozone needs a meaningful budget that has the financial firepower to stabilise and foster convergence for it to be viable in the long run. Whoever neglects this simple truth fails to understand the lessons of the recent past.

Our latest plenary session in Strasbourg took place in the shadow of the heinous attack on Tuesday evening. Our warmest thoughts are with the victims and their families and we wish a full and speedy recovery to all those injured in this cowardly act. Though saddened by the events, the work of the Parliament continued and we managed to deliver on many of the crucial debates and votes that took place this week.
