The S&D Group is particularly concerned about the discrimination faced by young people with disabilities – and the economic and social exclusion that goes with it. We believe the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities means the European institutions are under a legal obligation to legislate in this area, and we want to go further and invite young people to work with us.
The candidate of this fund must have a medically recognised disability and we will require proof of this disability.
