Since its establishment in 2015, the Parliamentary Association Committee is a central forum for discussions between EU and Ukrainian parliamentarians and other partners on developments in Ukraine and on bilateral relations. In close cooperation with other concerned parliamentary bodies, the committee provides input to EU policy on Ukraine and develops policy dialogue with the Verkhovna Rada, the unicameral parliament of Ukraine. Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022, Ukrainian parliamentarians have also been participating in several committee meetings in the European Parliament where the war and its consequences were discussed.
